C45 is a medium carbon steel grade known for its good strength, hardness, and machinability. It can be heat-treated (through hardening and tempering) to achieve higher mechanical properties. C45 offers an excellent balance between strength and toughness, making it suitable for general engineering applications.

Tempering: 540 680C (to desired hardness)
